In today’s digital world, building an online presence is essential, whether you’re a small business, an athlete, or just someone with a story to tell.
But how do you stand out in a sea of low-quality, poorly edited content?
Simple, become undefeated.
Shaun Davis is the founder of Undefeated Media and a recent graduate of the University of South Wales, where he earned a First-Class Honours degree in Media Production. He is now beginning his professional journey as a freelance videographer and filmmaker through his company.
During his time at university, Shaun developed a versatile skill set in self-shooting, editing, camera operation, and directing. He gained hands-on experience working both independently and within crews on a range of productions including short films, documentaries, and live events such as Green Man, Hay Festival, and the Immersed Festival 2024. At these events, he operated live event cameras such as the Blackmagic URSA Mini to film live music performances and speaker sessions.
His academic journey also provided opportunities to collaborate with high-profile clients in the sports industry. He contributed to promotional content for the Welsh Rugby Union as part of his coursework and had the chance to shadow and film pitch-side at Cardiff City Football Club during their notable victory over the Plymouth Argyle’s.
A long-time enthusiast of martial arts, both as a spectator and occasional participant, Shaun has merged his passion with his profession. For his Final Major Project, he produced a sports documentary titled “What It Takes”, which follows UFC fighter Mason Jones in the lead-up to his return bout, alongside former UFC prospect and current coach Jack Shore. The documentary has been officially selected for the Fighting Spirit Film Festival in London this September.
In addition to this project, Shaun has worked closely with Mason Jones to develop social media content for his TikTok channel, with several videos amassing over 20,000 views. The two are now collaborating on a podcast series to relaunch Mason's YouTube channel.
Through these connections, Shaun has also served as a videographer for various local MMA and Muay Thai events, capturing fights ringside and producing short-form content tailored for social media platforms.
Since leaving University, Shaun has collaborated with the amayzing team at LunaTides, working on numerous shoots and edits, including social media content for the recent GlastonBarry Festival.
